Team Building Event

Friday night was our Team building event. This time around we had a slightly smaller group. So to those who weren't able to attend, you were missed. Remember- if you are a Craftsomniac you can log on to our Stampin Connection team page and I will be posting the cards we made there for you to view.
Speaking of the cards, they were great. We decided to do the event shoebox style with all supplies and consumables included. It was great and made for way less packing and quick card making. The ladies even pre-embossed, tied bows, and pre-punched. We were able to whip out card with a quickness!

I also love the way we tackle those shoe boxes like a team. Each table was working together on the same box. We would tackle the steps of the card assembly line style. That may not make sense unless you were there. But trust me it is nice and quick.
I love all the chatter too. Stampin', chit-chatting, and snacking. It makes me so happy.
 Happy, happy, happy:)
So thank you to the ladies who make their way to my home Friday night. Stay tuned to see a few of the creations. Each of the girls left with 22 cards!! That's not bad work for a few hours together, huh?

FORE...Dad

I love punch art. This card was a case of a card I saw on Pinterest. I made it with the girls at our recent Dad cards class. It is a really quick, clean and simple card.
I think every Masculine class needs one golf card. Maybe that doesn't work for every family, but it definitely works for mine.  It covers just about evey guy I need to give a card to. That's why golf always seems to work its way in with me. I know I will use this card for sure.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a good one!

Simple Birthday-MDS

A quick birthday page for you today. As you can see I am still super behind on my 2013 pages. Ava's birthday was in January. I will get caught up soon. This is a quick page I made for my girl. I just love those candlelit pictures.

That's all for this morning. Have a good one...

Father's Day

Today's card features one of my favorite stamp sets, Best Dad Ever. And guess what, it's on the retired list. What!?! This is my go-to guy set. It's really sad isn't it!?! If you still have it on your wish list be sure to swoop it up quick before its gone for good.
Not only are the ties great for masculine cards, but  it has really great sentiments as well.
This card also features a little sneak peek on it as well, one of our new In Colors, Smokey Slate. Love, love, love this color. It is the soft base of the card as well as the ink. Pretty right?

Now, I will go ahead and say it, this card turned out slightly more "Fifty Shades" than I had originally planned. Yes, I was pairing our Grays together and thought it looked pretty nice, but not necessarily my intention. Although, think of the fun girls night parties, or bridal shower parties you could use this set with.......;)

Amazing Father

I am loving Washi Tape right now. This card features the washi tape from the This and That suite. The bundle is no longer available but you will see some of these items make their reappearance in the new catty, coming soon!
I am loving the date stamp as well. Yes, it is crooked, super crooked. Let's just assumed that is on purpose;)

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good one....

Thunder-MDS

I haven't been MDS-ing in a while. So today, that is what I have for you. This is the girls, behind the scenes, with the Stockton Thunder. We are new hockey fans, but man, is it fun! And getting to go behind the scenes and meeting the players and Thor and walk out on the ice at the Zamboni entrance is pretty exciting.

How did we get to do this? Well, my kids have impeccable luck is all I can say. There was a charity fundraiser where you could pay money to buy a puck out of a pile of a couple hundred pucks. They were all wrapped in paper so you couldn't see what you were picking. But if you picked a golden puck you won a meet and greet with the player. There were only 8 golden pucks in the bunch.........they picked two of them. How does that happen!?! If these girls could gamble we would be on our way to Vegas right now to win the big bucks, believe me!!

Happy Mother's Day

So true!
I wont suggest you totally take the day off today, because we all know what the house will look like tomorrow, couple that with the injuries you will have to deal with (from kids and hubby) but try, try, try to at least take it a bit easy today. Moms deserve a little pampering today.
Happy Mother's Day!

Worl's Greatest

I know it's not Mother's Day quite yet, but yes, I am moving on the Father's Day. This week the ladies and I knocked out a few cards for the guys. Yep, we are ready to go already. This first card we made is a total catalog case. But I love it.
We had to give this one a shot because two of the three stamp sets used here are on the Retired list and leaving us for good: World's Greatest and Family Reunion. sniff, sniff. I love those sets.

You can get them before they are gone for good by shopping my online store.

Now I gotta get running, off to soccer and then a full day of card making at the church with my buddies. Yay!

Teacher Appreciation

Just so you don't think I forgot it was teacher appreciation week, here are a few goodie baskets that were dropped off today. I really love teacher appreciation week. Its a week to give gifts, which I love to do, and show your appreciation for those hard working teachers.

But to tell you the truth I was off my game this year. This week snuck up on me. So at the beginning of the week, we slacked off in the creativity department, and choose to bring in breakfast for the teachers- via Starbucks coffee and pastries. I know, risky move. I was thinking they might be over loaded with free breakfast. Luckily, we where the only ones who brought food that day, whew!

Today, was school supplies. I just hope these can replace those dying pens that are "hangin' on for dear life" trying to make it to the end of the school year, and hopefully carry over into the next year a bit too.

I say HOPE, because my girls insisted we should "try out the pens before we hand them over. Just so we can make sure they work." Hmm, is that what we should do?? Okay, try them out.....

Note: not all the lids were securely back on by the time we handed them over. grrrrrrrrr.

Anyhoo, its always fun to give gifts. Hope you remembered to spoil your teachers too!

Let's Celebrate

Today's card is yet  another downline birthday card. This one is pretty clean and simple. I recently got these edgelits and I love them. So pretty right?
And go figure, this birthday stamp set featured in our current spring catalog (make a wish), is my
go-to birthday stamp. It didn't initially jump out at me, but now that I have it, I am definitely getting my use out of it.

Okay, that's all for today. Thanks for stopping by...

Wonderful you

One more Mother's day card for you. I love this one. It's soft and elegant. Or maybe I love it because we use the Just Believe stamp set. This was one of my favorites for a very long time. I used it a lot. Now, this set in on the retired list and soon to be going bye-bye for good.

You can still pick it up here. So if it is still on your wish list, now is the time. Remember, look through the Retired List and swoop up any remaining sets before they are gone for good.

Have a great stampin' day!

Happy Birthday

Today, I have yet another belated birthday card for you. This one goes to my downline and good friend, Sarah.
So the good news is, I got all my April birthday cards done. The bad news, I'm out of stamps. I swear, it has been the perfect storm of un-organization around here......
Today, at some point, I will buy stamps....i think.

But here is the card I created with Sarah in mind. It combines two of my favorite sets: Perfectly Penned and Oh, Hello. I also, used some of that gorgeous lace tape. I really wish we sold that in bulk, because I would be all over it. I especially love how soft it looks, Monochromaticly on top of the white.

Okie dokie, we are off to a soccer game this morning. Gotta run, wish us luck!

Mom

Back to Mother's Day cards for a second. I have seen this technique goin' around lots lately and so we decided to give it a try on one of our cards for Moms. It's bright and fun and the best part is, any little imperfections get hidden with the embossing.
I love this sentiment from the Blessings from Heaven set. This is a new set to me and I love it. It has great words.

That's all for this morning. Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful Birthday

This simple happy birthday sentiment is probably my most used stamp in my collection. I love it. I used it again here on today's card. This card is yet another belated April birthday card. This one I am sending off to one of my downlines, Kristin.
Another one of my favorites at the moment is the Delicate Designs folder. I love those super frilly scallops.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by, have a happy Wednesday!

You are a Blessing....

Another card from our For Mom class. This one I like because it could be used for another occasion if needed. It's a quick card, clean and simple.
I also really love this sentiment as a Mother's Day sentiment, because aren't all moms a blessing?
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

Amazing Mother

First, let me say, thank you for all the super encouraging words about my craft-disaster-space yesterday. I honestly don't know how that happens, but it makes me laugh to know I am not alone. It's the crafter in us, isn't it? We just push through it, and yes, if someone walked in there they wouldn't understand, but we know what we are doing and we actually know where everything is;)

This card I made with the ladies, Thursday night at our For Mom class. We are now set on cards for that super important day coming up real soon....
This card was a complete case from Amy O'Neill. Its gorgeous, right? I love all the different elements and textures. Very nicely done and thank you for the inspiration, Amy.

Thanks for stopping by, happy Saturday!
